| A wedding in front of the Palais Royal |
After we settled into our room, we took a walk to the Pompidou and saw beautiful architecture along the way . . . (much nicer than the inside of the metro)

| The Pompidou Centre |
The architecture of the Pompidou almost feels out of place in this part of the city (so close to the Louvre), but it's a fascinating building. The escalators are actually in tunnels on the outside (see the areas with red in the photo above). While the building is very interesting it's also very confusing to navigate in any language. After we finally figured out how to get on the escalators, we rode them all the way to the top for a beautiful view of the city.

Much of the art in the Pompidou is beautiful, some however may be beyond our understanding and appreciation. Take for example the exhibit below, thoughts?
After the Pompidou, and a quick cat nap, we went to dinner at a Cafe on the Rue de Rivoli - great view of the Tuileries and the Eiffel Tour at night. One of the most flirtatious waiters helped us choose some great dishes. After stuffing ourselves we thought we would take a quick walk to the Place de la Concorde for a view of La Madeline and the National Assembly at night, what we found was a huge Christmas fair on the Champs Elysees! Check out some of our favorites below.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
